On February 8, 2015, in Rome at the General House of the Order of the Company of Mary, the Eucharist was celebrated in thanksgiving to God for the life and witness of holiness of Mother Cointa Jaúregui. Presiding the Eucharist was Father Javier Carnerero OSST, postulator of the Cause for Beatification. Friends of the community from various religious orders of men and women participated.

The Latin version of the Church’s decree declaring her Venerable, and its translations into various languages, ​​will be published on the web.

In these times of violence, the testimony of women like Mother Cointa, who knew how to face the conditions of war with strength and creativity, helps us trust in the human condition and in its ability to reverse history.

The life of Mother Cointa speaks of love, truth and freedom, values ​​that our world needs. Her life, like others who have preceded us, is a light on our journey, a visible sign of hope.

Celebrating with the people who share our path is also a way to express the fact that we need one another, that the Kingdom is built with others and that together, supporting one another, we can make possible God’s dream for our humanity.
